REVIEW OF PICTURESQUE AROMAS OF THOUGHT ALLEYS BY ANUSHA SRIDHARAN

In her bio, the author says that the Picturesque Aromas of Thought Alleys is her first poetry collection which revolves around intricacies of several emotions packed in the mask of abstractness.
The blurb is as follows:
Picturesque Aromas of Thought Alleys is an abstracted version of the intricacies of emotions and how our world centres around them. The author has tried to convey different forms of emotion through her free versed poetry.
Somewhere in those abstract lines, as a reader, you'll find a connect walking you through similar tunnels of emotions.
The name of this book was chosen to convey a distinct meaning to emotions. It expresses the beauty that emotions carry in the form of aromas through the passageways of our beautiful minds.
Review:
The author does have a knack for writing poetry and it seems like she is a pro at it. The verses were breezy, impeccable and flowed smoothly.
The poem that I liked the most was 'Mistakes that you make'. It very precisely teaches us some valuable lessons about how to move on in your life even if you have made some mistakes. We shouldn't look at them as errors or faults, because every mistake teaches you something. A person won't be able to learn something new if he hasn't made any mistakes.
I don't know about everyone, but it so happens with me that whenever I read anything, my mind seems to conjure some visuals. In this case, after I read the poems, the images and scenes that came before me were absolutely beautiful and just stunning.
You can say that the author has succeeded in her work if you can see and understand the exact same things that she wants to show you, which definitely happened in my case.
All in all, I'd say that the author has a vast lexicon and we can see her rich vocabulary and word-hoard evident in the poems written by her. I am giving it FIVE STARS.
