REVIEW OF A BOY’S QUESTION A MAN’S ANSWER by SEAN DENNIS LANE

Written in third person POV, ‘‘A boy’s Question, A man’s answer’’ by Sean Dennis Lane is a poetry - story book.
Poetry that leads into story. A boy who asks into the darkness, "why am I alive." A man who understands the question is part of the answer. Great for beginning conversations about life and death.
Review:
After reading the description, the ‘Poetry that leads into a story’ concept immediately caught my attention. It was a very intriguing notion for me. I have never heard or read any books like this, so I would say that it was a first for me. The book definitely surpassed all my expectations. It was just absolutely perfect.
To be honest, when I read the book for the very first time, I found it to be abstruse and a bit difficult to comprehend. But then I re-read it and found out exactly what the author wanted to convey and once we were on the same wavelength, I started enjoying it so much that I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that this book is now going to be in my ‘Memorable Reads’ shelf.
So basically, this book has a couple of poems at the beginning of each chapter and then there's a short story attached to them. A boy asks a question at the first chapter for which he gets the answer in the last chapter when he is all grown up and has finally become a man, hence the title of the book, ‘A boy’s Question, A
man’s answer.’
When the protagonist first asked the question “Why am I alive?’’ he was nothing but a naive boy and couldn't get a solid answer, but after living his life and suffering all the trials and tribulations, finally he is mature enough to know the answer.
With just four chapters, this book is very short, but the impact that it leaves on you is humongous. It was very well written and has deep meaning which makes you think about what you are doing with your life. It is interesting in a way that will challenge your beliefs, attitudes and perspectives. With captivating poems and thought provoking stories accompanied with them, this book was an absolute delight to read.
My favorite quote from the book:
“The world is a place of many ends and many beginnings. It provides many ways for man to know and go forward into. One man cannot know another man’s heart, but a man can learn to love all who are of the world.”
I will recommend this book to everyone who like to read something intellectual and will surely give this innovative book Five stars
