Fifty shades of Grey has been the fastest selling adult novel of all times. It has been adored and loved by millions. Erotica genre existed way before this trilogy came out, but it wasn't something that was discussed so openly as it is now.
This genre has seen humongous growth in it's popularity after the story of Anastasia and Christian came out.
This trilogy was the very first adult books that I ever read. They proved to be a turning point for me as they were the ones that got me hooked to reading. They made me love books and because of them, I am a Bookaholic today.
In short, Fifty shades has been very special to me.
After I was done with these books, I felt really sad. Yup, I legitimately felt like I had lost someone and was grieving for them. I even re read the books twice again to get over them. But there was just something missing from my life. My friends said that I was obsessed with these books and looking back at it now, I think maybe I was.
Few days ago, as I was going through my books, I realized that I have now read more than five hundred books up to this date since Fifty Shades Of Grey. I have definitely come a long way.
When I looked at my books, it made me realise that some of the first books that I ever purchased after the trilogy bore starking similarities to Fifty shades.
It got me thinking that like me, there might be other people who have been obsessed with Fifty shades and are finding it difficult to find new books to read. So that's when I decided to make this list. I have included the series very similar to the trilogy that helped me get over my Fifty shades Fixation.

1.) Crossfire Series by Sylvia Day

The first book that I read after finishing FSOG Trilogy was Bared to You. It is the first book in the Crossfire Series. The story revolves around Gideon and Eva. Though the heroine is nowhere similar to Anastasia Steele, the hero does seem to ooze sexiness and masculinity like Christian Grey. It is about Eva's move to New York where she meets Gideon Cross. Both the main characters have the demons from their past and the story is about how they help each other overcome their flaws.

2.) The Fixed Trilogy by Laurelin Paige

Again, we have the rich, dominant billionaire Hudson Pierce and his lady love Alayna Withers. She is trying to fight her addiction while he is fighting his compulsion. The book is awesome and has just the right amount of drama.

3.) This Man Series by Jodi Ellen Malpas

Jesse Ward is a swoon worthy hero who is dominant, yet a fun loving billionaire. He owns a sex hotel named The Manor. Ava O'Shea is an interior designer. When she meets him, she is instantly attracted to him but is wary of his playboy nature. She tries to run away from him but he is not ready to let go of her.

4.) The Submissive Series by Tara Sue Me

If there are any books that come close to Fifty shades in terms of storyline, then that is Submissive Series by Tara Sue Me. It is about a Dominant Nathaniel West and the submissive Abby King. She is a simple librarian wanting to explore the world of kink and thus they both enter into a contract.

5.) Up in the Air Series by R.K Lilley

James Cavendish is a hot, dominant billionaire and the heroine, Bianca is a traumatised, young virgin. She works as a first class flight attendant and this story is about how they meet and what happens next. The hero is used to getting his way and he likes the challenge the heroine presents when she rejects him.
