REVIEW OF FAME AND PRIVILEGE BY L.C.REAGAN

Date: 12 August 2019
By: Daily Madhu

Written in third person POV, Fame & Privilege by L.C Reagan tells us the story of how two individuals survive in the glitzy and glamarous world of Hollywood. It is a standalone book.

The blurb is as follows:

Billionaire Jenn Cooper has run her own movie studio for the last 3 years with the utmost success. Everything in her life has been easy due to the wealth and privilege she's been afforded.
Ryan Price is a young and talented manager in Hollywood who represents up-and-coming starlet Julia Belle.
What will happen when Price and Cooper try to collaborate on one of Hollywood's most promising stories to date? Let's just say that things in Hollywood never follow the script.

Review:

The blurb was interesting and immediately got my attention. I like all things Hollywood, so I had high hopes going into this book.
Let me tell you, the book doesn't disappoint at all.

The heroine, Jenn Cooper, is a daughter of a well known movie director. Even though she was born with a silver spoon, she has worked really hard to get to her position.
Our hero, Ryan Price, a country boy from a small out-of-the-way town in Eastern Washington is a manager of an up-and-coming actress.
When the couple meet for the first time to collaborate for a project, sparks fly. They both are attracted to each other right from the first glance.
It was a sort of an insta-love story.
The first time they sleep together, it felt like maybe the author was rushing into things a bit too quickly. I personally like when there is a slow build up.
But as you go further into the book, their chemistry was bang on.
They had to keep their relationship a secret for a while to avoid any scandals or negative publicity and it gave the book a sort of a taboo feel.
The sex scenes were written nicely.
Ryan was a hottie and though he was assertive, oozed confidence and authority, he wasn't a dominating prick. He respected the heroine and treated her as his equal and was never full of himself. He was so good and caring.
Jenn was a strong character. She wasn't dim witted or a damsel in distress. She definitely held her own without the need for any support from the hero.
I have always come across books where the woman takes a backseat in her career for the sake of her lover/ boyfriend/husband or has to give up something for her family, but it was refreshing to see that just this once, Ryan was willing to sacrifice his dream project for the sake of his love.
Alicia and Julia were good side characters and I'd have liked to see more of them.
The book had a nice HFN epilogue, but I wanted a HEA with some kids, maybe?
Well, all in all, I liked the book. It was straight and to the point. I would definitely recommend it to those who want a good and clean romance without big drama. I'd give this book FOUR Hollywood STARS
