REVIEW OF THE CALL: PART ONE BY VIPUL BARPUTE
Written in third person POV, The Call: Part One by Vipul Barpute is a thriller-mystery surrounding the happenings that take course over a period span of just few hours.
The blurb is as follows:
💕My review💕
The story revolves around one night at a radio station of 92.7 FM office.
‘Let your heart out with Richa’ is back with it’s final season. And for the final episode, the guest is Siddharth, a famous and renowned author with over million followers on social media.
The format of the show is such that the viewers/listeners of the show would be able to ask their questions to their favorite author.
Everything is going on smoothly, when an unexpected call from ‘Game Master’ changes the course of the entire story. What ensues next is absolute chaos and has nightmarishly frightening result.
💕What I liked💕
I personally liked that this was written in such a way that was bound to keep the reader engrossed in the book. I read this book in one sitting. At one point, it felt like I was actually living the book and trying to keep up with the deadline of Game Master.
💕What I didn't like💕
I felt like this book had a very casual tone to it. There was a use of lot of informal language, which I am personally not a big fan of. The ending felt abrupt. Also, it was a very short read for my liking.
💕My thoughts on book💕
The things that I liked do overpower the ones that I didn't, hence I would say that this was a very pleasant read.
After completing the book, it seems that there will definitely be a sequel and I will be surely waiting for that.
I am going to give this book Four Calling Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐
