Sometimes it is the one who loves you who hurts you the most.
Written as a first person narrative, ‘It ends with Us’ by Colleen Hoover puts light on a very ugly side of a love story.
The blurb is as follows:
Lily hasn't always had it easy, but that's never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She's come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up. She has graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily's life suddenly seems almost too good to be true.
Ryle is assertive, stubborn, maybe even a little arrogant. He's also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily. And the way he looks in the scrubs certainly doesn't hurt. Lily can't get him out of her head. But Ryle's complete aversion to relationships is disturbing. Even as Lily finds herself becoming the exception to his "no dating" rule, she can't help but wonder what made him that way in the first place.
As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan, her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.
Review:
Partially inspired by the true events of the author's life, this book gives you a glimpse of a love story so ugly that one feels torn between wanting the characters to be together but at the same time think against it.
The blurb completely unsettled me, and I think I wouldn't have picked this book up soon if it was not a friend of mine who recommended me to read this, and I'm soo glad he did. This was my first Colleen Hoover book, and after this one, I'm definately gonna read more by the author.
I don't wanna spoil the book for you all so let's not talk much about what happens in the story because there is so much happening in the story which is lovely sometimes and unsettling the other times.
The writing style is simple and gripping.
So even if you are a beginner, you would enjoy this book as much, and the characters are soo well written and amazing that you can't help but fall in love with them.

The only thing that didn't sit well with me was the fact that the timing of everything was soo Indian T.V serial type like coincidentally the wrong person walks into the room at the right time (It does feels too much towards the end)
Overall, this is definitely worth your time so grab it soon.
I'm going with 4 Stars⭐⭐⭐⭐
